In celebration of the annual Tuna Festival in General Santos City, this year’s festival will hold the first ever DUATHLON!

So, if you happen to have a bike, and can run at least 5KM, then, mark your September 7 calendar as you and the rest of triathlon – duathlon enthusiasts shall swarm the morning streets of GenSan.

Duathlon is a 2 – sport event normally comprised of either a run – bike or swim – bike series. This year’s competition is simply a 5km run – 20km bike – 2.5km race and is open to all men and women who love the challenge of multi – sports race.
Now, if you are just an amateur like me, then, worry not because this competition shall be based on your speed by age groups, gender, and either solo or relay group.

With a total of PHP 45,000.00 of cash prizes and medals for all the top finishers in both women and men category and age groupers, this event is worth your trip and your registration fee.

Enjoy an early – bird registration of PHP 800.00 when you register today until August 31 or pay PHP 1000.00 for late registration starting September 1 to 6, 2013. For relay group, pay PHP 2,000.00. Inclusive of your registration fee shall be your kit, finishers shirt, post race meals & snacks during race briefing on Sept 6 at venue to be announced later.

Bike check in & start/finish area on Sept. 7, 2013 will be at Gen. Santos City Oval grounds. Bike check in area will open at 5am. Gun start is set at 6am. The race route shall be posted soon. You may check their later update on Facebook\BodyKinetex – Event Services & Management.

There will be no bike restrictions but bib belts will be required. The bib during the run should be in front and moved to the back during the bike leg. These along other rules shall be discussed during the Pre – Race Briefing.
